75 Naturally Holey Beach Stones, coquinoid sandstone.
Surf tumbled by the tides and time.
Sustainably collected by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
These stones are 3/4 to 3 inches wide, the longest is 4” long.
Each hole accommodates the American Standard gage 20 wire.
Nature is so cool... did you see the letters? The faces? The hearts?
The heart-shaped hole?  It’s a party of rocks…..Bonus!

Hag stones (holey rocks) have occupied myth and magic folklore for centuries.
But what are Hag Stones?
Hag stones are stones that have a naturally occurring
hole inside them. These stones are often
found along the coastal points, beaches,
and streams. These holes occur from the elements
beating down upon them over
many years.  There are also speculations that these mysterious
stones may have
been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag stone is also known as a Witch Stone
or
Adder Stone or Holey Stone and has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties
associated
with them.  Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes you can
see fairies.
