    Description

This is the landing gear strut removed from a Bombardier Challenger 601 business jet.  There was a slight amount of corrosion found on one of the mounting bosses and therefore unsuitable for reinstallation on the aircraft.  The new casting that was purchased cost 5,000.00 + sales tax.  The overhaul shop wanted to buy this to use as a spare piece when aircraft needed gear overhauls so that the airplane would not be on jacks the entire time; however the Vice President of Fleet decided their offer was too low (,000.00) and thought he could sell it for more.  Unfortunately shortly after the airplane was returned to service, the company decided to sell their asset and all the parts were sold and the Vice President of Fleet was let go.  I acquired this and several other items with the intention of using it for a mailbox post or unique table post.
Getting rid of this and other items that I'll never get around to using.  This is a massive chunk of aluminum, approx. 75 pounds.  Would be good for a mailbox post, aviation themed table or possibly sell to an overhaul shop for use as a spare gear while the usable gear is out for overhaul.  Has absolutely no value for use as a suitable aircraft part due to the corrosion (which takes a trained eye to see)
