    Description

    Lucius Ceionius Commodus was adopted by the emperor Antonius Pius along with the future emperor Marcus Aurelius and subsequently changed his name to Lucius Aurelius Verus. He was to serve as co - ruler with his adoptive brother but predeceased him in 169AD. The reverse features Victory placing shield on palm tree. RIC 566.
