Curtis NC-4 Genuine Piece of Original Fabric on a Dazzling Certificate

Description

This is a beautiful 4" x 5 1/4" certificate printed on heavy card stock showing two photos of the Curtis NC-4 and one photo of the crew.
On the front of this certificate is one photo of the Curtis in flight and another showing the plane in the water.
There is also a sepia photo of the six man crew along with the symbol of the Navy in the upper right corner.
Attached toward the left side of the front of this certificate is a genuine piece of the original fabric, about
1/2" x 1/2",
from the Curtis NC-4. This was removed by the Smithsonian during a renovation.
The NC-4 completed the first Trans-Atlantic flight on May 27th, 1919.
On the back of the certificate is some fascinating history of the NC-4.
This is a beautiful piece and a terrific conversation item. In pristine condition.
