    Description

    This specimen features a well formed Demantoid Garnet growing out from a piece of matrix. Demantoid Garnet is the green variety of Andradite. The crystal has a satin luster with a translucency that really stands out when backlit. There is a small conchoidal chip on the small side coming through the matrix. The matrix has been stabilized around the stone. This was formerly part of the Charlie Key collection.
