Total. These are interesting fossil chert flints natural pieces as they were found. There are many different tiny fossils in these if use a magnifier to view. There are tiny segmented spirals in these stones which resemble ammonite but are actually fusulinid fossils with good innards preservation. Flint is very durable and hard when it becomes agatized thickly with micro-quartz chalcedony; chalcedony is formed from micro deposits of quartz in water solution over millions of years. Flint is usually formed from ancient sedimentary stone with fossil inclusions especially if using a strong magnifier. Quartz solution boiled up from below and saturated the sedimentary stone forming flint and chert. These stones are good for collection, study, display, lapidary, or other purpose.
