Rome mint, Struck December 173–December 174.
Obverse: M ANTONINVS AVG TR P XXVIII, laureate head of Marcus Aurelius right.
Reverse: IMP VI COS III, German captive seated right on ground beneath trophy.
The reverse commemorates the defeat of the German tribes and pacification of the frontier in 172 AD.
