One Naturally Holey Beach Stone, coquinoid sandstone.
Surf-tumbled by the tides and time.
Sustainably wild caught by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
This stone is about 1” x 3/4” x 1/2” thick.
The holes easily accommodate the 20 gage wires.
It is shades of gray with areas of golden tan, notably along the center area of the stone.
It is a flattened cylindrical shape with the ends concave. Interesting shape.
Simple, yet complicated!
Makes you wonder about it’s creation.....
Smooth rounded surface and edges fits nicely in your hand. It is easy to look through.

occurring hole inside them. These stones are often
found along the
coastal points, beaches, and streams. These holes occur from the
elements
beating down upon them over many years.  There are also
speculations that these mysterious
stones may have been formed by
a “worm hole”. A Hag stone is also known as a Witch Stone
or Adder
Stone or Holey Stone and has quite a bit of lore and many magical
properties associated
with them.  Part of the folklore is that if you look
through the holes you can see fairies.
