Naturally Holey Beach Stone, Coquinoid Sandstone with Calcite Crystals
Tumbled by the tides and time.
Wild caught by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
The stone is 1/2” x 5/8” x 1/4” thick.
The hole easily accommodates 6 gage wire.
It is gray and ivory. The stone has a light sparkle in the sunlight coming off the
calcite crystals prevalent along the hole in this stone...Natural beach druzy,
natural
sparkle. It’s difficult to catch the sparkle in a photo...but it is there.
This is a small stone with small crystals. What are the powers of a crystal?
And how cool is it to have a hag stone with crystals.....
The entire stone is worn.
Interesting stone...The light sparkle initially drew my attention.  The first two
photos are close-ups to try to show the crystal detail.

Hag stones are stones that have a
naturally occurring hole inside them. These stones are often
found along the coastal points, beaches, and streams. These
holes occur from the elements
beating down upon them over
many years.  There are also speculations that these mysterious
stones may have been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag stone is
also known as a Witch Stone
or Adder Stone or Holey Stone and
has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties associated
with them.  Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes
you can see fairies.
