This listing is for two small stones called "Uzura ishi"(quail stone) that were collected on Iwo Jima, Japan. Uzura ishi is m
inerally anorthite, the component ratio is closer to andesine.
Each stone weighs approx 0.6 grams and the size is approx 1cm long.
Please note: Colors or shapes may slightly differ from the sample pictures.
The coin,

are for scale, not included in this item.
Iwo Jima is a volcanic island about 1200km south of Tokyo and is known as one of the most difficult places to get to.
After the WWII, the island became a part of the Japanese Self-Defence Forse (JSDF) base so generally, it is prohibited to enter the island except for the JSDF members who are stationed on the island.​
