    Description

    Rare Natural Nevada Blue Ridge Turquoise Cabochon.
    This is a very rare and pretty cabochon of Crescent Valley, Nevada Blue Ridge Mine. I was given some rough stone from Grace Wintle years back when she was still alive and working small amounts every year of Orvil Jack Turquoise. Grace was a very knowledgeable person in the Turquoise world especially regarding Nevada mines of years past. She was a sweet lady. Anyway, she had some nuggets of Blue Ridge that after months of pleading she agreed to part with them and mailed them to me. Grace was very picky about who she was willing to sell her Turquoise to and you had to earn respect. This cabochon was the prettiest one I worked up when it comes to the original Blue Ridge high grade stone. This is one of the nicest examples I have seen of the mine. The rough nuggets looked black in hand and were unlike any nuggets I’ve ever worked up. You won’t find another example of High Grade Blue Ridge like this one for a long time, if ever.
