Trajan AE Sestertius (AD 98-117) 25.49g NGC Authenticated

Description

The winner of this auction will receive the Trajan Sestertius along with the flips and documentation shown in the photos. But not the quarter, it's just for scale ;) The documentation is the flip in which the coin was received after purchasing it from an auction and the flip that I received back from NGC.
I have a Roman Emperor collection that I display in NGC slabs. From time to time I purchase raw coins and send them in for grading. Unfortunately, there is always a chance that they will come back in "Tooled" body bags, as was the case with this coin. I won't suggest a grade, but it is a very nice Trajan. Unfortunately for me it didn't slab, therefore, it kind of violates the theme of my collection :(
The criteria that NGC uses to define tooled ranges a very wide spectrum. Unfortunately, in cases like this, they do not provide any useful feedback about their evaluation other than what's on the flip. I've had a few expert acquaintances evaluate the coin, and they agree that the details on the bust are all original. With this particular coin, they tend to agree that the "Smoothing" on the bust was just a bit too excessive, and that was the reason for the tooled determination. But hey, you be the judge.
I took pictures on a white background and a grey background in an attempt to properly convey the detail, but this resulted in very different presentations of coin color (the extent of my photography equipment is my smart phone). I also provided a photo with the coin next to a quarter for scale, and this photo does the best job of showing the actual color of the coin in hand.
I'm also selling a Claudius As that suffered a similar fate. If you win both of the coins then I will combine shipping.
