This sale is for one original patent document issued to Randolph F. Hall of Rochester and Edgar P. Rhodes of Clarence, NY of Bell Aircraft Corporation in Buffalo, New York. The inside of the document features illustrations of the aircraft which was filed Oct.16, 1943. The document on the front was granted on February 5, 1946. Randolph Hall and Ed Rhodes worked for Bell aircraft and worked on several top secret early projects on the first American jet. Hall received over 40 patents and his papers are housed at the Smithsonian in Washington. Randolph Hall is honored on the wall at the Smithsonian in the aviation wing. *** All this and more is documented on the piece of paper pictured with the patent.*** This came from the estate of a lifetime collector of military and aviation memorabilia.
