This listing is for a Vintage 1962 Mapco (Mansfield Aircraft Products) Model 180-147 Airplane Coffee / Water Heater.
It is in good vintage condition, with some scuffs, scratches or dings. Untested and sold as a collectible and not for use.
Prior to listing, we measured the resistance between the three pins, with a Fuke DMM. We found 8 Ohms between one pair, 112 Ohms between another and 120 Ohms between the third. From this we suspect that the unit has a heating coil with a center tap - the center tap would be used to creat an 8 Ohm coil, for heating the water from cold, while the end tap would be used to create a 120 Ohm coil, to keep it warm afterwards. This is just our guess, though and we don't guarantee it.
This is the only one on the market and we're open to reasonable offers - don't let it get away!
